Volunteering with Lutheran Settlement House

What:

Lutheran Settlement House is a welcoming and supportive place that people can turn to in times of need. From serving seniors to domestic violence survivors to children, they provide an array of needed services. We will be volunteering with them on April 6th from 8:30AM-noon. More details on how we'll be serving are below. We will be meeting in the Van Pelt Lobby at 8:30AM to help serve others in the community via their food pantry. Please sign up here if you are able to participate.

More Details: We'll be assisting them as they launch their seasonal food pantry. They need help with a variety of tasks like restocking cans, helping folks sign in, distributing items, moving boxes etc. It's necessary to wear something comfortable and bring a mask as well.  We will be restocking cans and dried goods, helping folks sign in, and distributing refrigerated and frozen items.  This will include shifting around boxes and cans, breaking down boxes, etc., so wear something comfortable, and closed-toed shoe. We also require volunteers to wear a mask, so bring one with you as well.  We will provide gloves if you would like to use them.
