Whether you are a lucky or unlucky soul this semester in terms of scheduling, move-out IS right around the corner; feel free to refer back to this email when you’ve ruthlessly conquered your exams.  Some reminders for the move-out process follow.  Unless you are a graduating senior or otherwise have a confirmed housing extension, you need to be fully moved out of your apartment by 5 PM on Wednesday, May 15th.  

Just like during winter break closing, our staff will be wandering around the buildings, checking on rooms and making sure everyone is on target to leave.  We’d hate to close out the year on an awkward exchange, so please be on time if you are here until the end—don’t wait until the last second to start throwing clothes into bags.  Packing up always takes way longer than we imagine it will.

Please don’t leave anything important behind!  Sometimes rooms are cleaned out (and everything trashed) immediately after move-out.

Speaking of trash, please take it out before you go.  There will be seniors, students with extensions, and weird old folks here, and if housekeeping doesn’t clean out your room right away—old trash can get pretty nasty pretty quick.  Also our Housing friends fine heavily for trash left behind, so there’s that.

Even though you don’t have keys to turn in, you still need to check out at the info desk to make sure that you aren’t assessed late move-out charges, etc.  So after your room is all cleared out, head to your front desk and check out before departure.  Only takes a second.
