Donuts and BBC Earth: Life Story

What:

I hope everyone is having a quiet or exciting break, depending on preferences.  I know if you are around Gregory, “quiet” is more a state of mind than reality, as we’re wedged between construction of a new college house and Septa streetwork that has a certain apocalyptic flair to it.  Anyway, since traffic to the office has been…. Slow, to say the least, I’m following a recent year tradition of working out of the film lounge the next couple afternoons (now that the sad and loud sawing down of beloved trees outside the lounge windows is completed) while screening  BBC Earth documentaries, which work well because 1) they are breathtaking and 2) you can come in at any time without being lost, and you can spend a little time or a lot taking in some segments.   The main house office is closed today, so that’s where you’ll find me if you need anything.

Probably more importantly, I’ll have coffee, hot chocolate, bagels and donuts if you need fuel for studying, or munchies if you just don’t want to venture into the cold.  Unless you live in C’25, but it’s still close by!

I’ll be opening the lounge up around 1 PM with Life Story.  Stop by at any time over the following few hours; lights on if you want to do some work.

PS: There may be a real dog barking at animals on the screen.  Fair warning!

Chris
