Hi film folks,

We’ve already watched plenty of movies together this term, but it’s about time we see something new, right?

Our first film excursion of the semester will be to AD ASTRA, the new science fiction epic directed by James Gray and starring Brad Pitt, which is garnering very solid reviews.  You can check out the trailer:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDs516VKh4Q.  Running time is 124 min.

It’s here on campus, so we’ll be seeing the 1 PM Saturday screening at the RAVE.  We’ll meet at 12:30 PM in the Van Pelt lobby.  After the screening, we’ll return to Gregory for a discussion in the cinema lounge (mandatory for enrolled attendees, optional for the rest), with some pizza.

If you want to go, please RSVP to me by Friday at noon.  Since this is our first trip of the semester, there won’t be any co-pay; but if you RSVP and no show, you’ll be responsible for the full cost of the ticket, so check your schedule first.

We’ll be doing at least six film trips this semester (enrolled students need to attend at least three).
