| Stephanie Kleven hails from the Eastern Washington town of Richland but called Seattle home for seven years before moving to Philadelphia. Stephanie completed her BA in Biology and Spanish at Seattle University in 2006. During her undergraduate years, she studied abroad in Granada, Spain and then in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Stephanie returned to Nicaragua as a Fulbright Scholar in 2007-2008 to work with rural community health care volunteers. In between adventures, Stephanie worked at the Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute in Seattle. Just before moving to Philadelphia, she was able to squeeze in one more adventure, cycling 1,000 miles from Seattle to Central Montana as part of an effort to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. Stephanie is currently part of the accelerated second degree program in the School of Nursing. When she's not studying, Stephanie can usually be found taking photos, practicing yoga, savoring a cup of coffee or salsa dancing.
