Eclipse!

What:

Monday April 8th we will watch the Solar Eclipse on Gregory's Beach (the green grassy area between Van Pelt and Class of 1925. The next event in the continental U.S. won't occur until 2044, and that will occur in the midwest (Montana and North Dakota) and won't occur in Philadelphia again until 2078. 

I'll have solar glasses ready. Come outside, anytime in the timeframe: 

Eclipse begins: Monday, April 8, 2024 at 2:08 p.m. 

Mid-eclipse time (highest coverage): 3:23:42 p.m

Moves south to west for nearly two-and-a-half hours, until 4:35 p.m.
